Little Lamb Nursery Rhyme Busy Book

The Little Lamb Busy Book has been thoughtfully designed to introduce children to beloved nursery rhymes while building important early learning skills through hands-on play. Front Cover – Little Lamb

Meet your new fluffy friend!

The interactive lamb has removable snap-button ears that are perfect for little hands to practise fastening while encouraging imaginative play.

Use the lamb to sing favourite nursery rhymes including:

  • Little Bo Peep
  • Baa, Baa, Black Sheep

Encourage your child to:

Build Humpty's wall before singing the rhyme together.

Use Humpty's removable arms and legs to:

  • Create funny poses.
  • Make Humpty wave, dance or stretch.
  • Act out the rhyme from beginning to end.
  • Pretend the King's horses and men are helping Humpty.

Encourage storytelling by asking:

  • Why did Humpty climb the wall?
  • What happened after he fell?
  • Can you think of a happy ending?

Baa, Baa, Black Sheep

Guide the buttons through the maze and into the three wool bags.

Extend play by:

  • Counting the buttons.
  • Naming the colours.
  • Singing the nursery rhyme while completing the maze.
  • Talking about where wool comes from and what it is used for.

Ask:

  • Can you find the quickest path?
  • Which bag should we fill first?
  • How many bags are there?

Incy Wincy Spider

Move the spider up and down the water spout while singing together.

Lift the rain cloud to reveal the sunshine before continuing the rhyme.

Encourage your child to:

  • Retell the story independently.
  • Talk about rainy and sunny weather.
  • Use the spider to create new adventures.
  • Compare what happens when it rains versus when the sun comes out.

Ask:

  • Where is the spider going?
  • Why did the rain wash him down?
  • What happens after the sun appears?

Act out each verse by:

Sing the song while choosing a different animal each verse.

Encourage your child to:

  • Name the letter.

  • Think of another word beginning with the same letter.
  • Search for objects around the house that start with that letter.

As your child grows, practise:

  • Uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • Simple word building.
  • Beginning sounds.
  • Alphabet order.
